Our Municipality

The Municipality of Roxas is a 1st class municipality in the province of Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. It is located on the northeastern part of the province and is known for its rich culture, productive lands, beautiful beaches, and warm, resilient people.

History

Roxas was originally a barrio of the Municipality of Socorro. Through the efforts of its people and leaders, it was formally established as a separate municipality on June 11, 1956. Named in honor of President Manuel A. Roxas, the municipality has grown while preserving its rich heritage and traditions.
